Roxanne, can you tell us a little about your latest release?

Liz Beth, a paranormal researcher, is haunted by a vampire who may or may not be real. She arrives in New Orleans the week of Halloween to search for the elusive vampire of her dreams, Quillon, and instead encounters a handsome stranger, Christien, with whom she begins a passionate affair with.

Soon she is torn between her dream lover and a flesh and blood man, both of whom are a mystery to her. The closer it gets to Halloween the wilder things get. LizBeth gets closer to the truth about Quillon while Christien has her under his own spell. Will all be revealed at the Ball or will the masks stay in place?

In New Orleans at Halloween anything is possible.

How long have you been writing?
I think I was born with a pen in my hand. LOL. Seriously writing is the one thing I have always done. I started professionally writing in 2005 when I decided it was beyond time for me to do what I love.

What is a typical day like for you? How do you manage family and career?
I do what I have to do.

I always make a to-do list the night before so I don't forget to do anything that must be done. A typical day is me getting the kids off to school, taking care of the toddler and working on the computer. I try to squeeze as much writing in as possible while my little guy is calm; involved with his toys, books or crayons; or even eating. Some days things go smoothly, others not so much.

I also squeeze work in after dinner when I can and if that doesn't happen I work after everyone is in bed.

What is your writing process? Do you work on more than one project at a time?
I am so all over the place. There's no such thing as one project at a time. With multiple blogs to keep up with, freelance jobs and assignments, edits for work accepted, a list of ideas a mile long, two novels in progress, a couple novellas also in the works, poetry when the muse strikes, promotion for published work, etc., etc., etc...
Lets' just say I am a very, very busy person. LOL.

I work on what pays the bills and squeeze in everything else when I can. If I have deadlines those projects get put at the top of the to-do list.

What do you think of promotion, and how much do you do? What are your favorite types of promotion?
I really hate promo work. I think it is a necessary evil and would rather spend my time writing. I do it though, tons of it. And I do it all myself since I can't afford to pay someone to set everything up for me. I contact blogs and websites to set up reviews of my books, set up interviews with me and schedule stops on my virtual tours. I try to network as much as possible on sites like Twitter (my fave social site)

I also have my own review and book promo site Fang-tastic Books. I have learned so much about author promotion since starting that site and have networked with fabulous authors at every level from beginner to seasoned NYT bestsellers. What a learning experience talking to authors, PR people and publicists and it has helped me plan my own promotions.

Where do you see your writing career in the next few years?
Oh, I hope it sprouts wings and flies. I would love to see one of my books soar to the top of the best selling charts, of course- what author doesn't want that? I am going to keep typing away until hopefully one day that happens.

What are you currently working on?
Everything! Two novels, a couple non-fiction book ideas, several short stories and novellas, tons of book and product reviews and putting together an erotic poetry book.

What are you reading?
I have a stack of review books a mile high -most are all paranormals or urban fantasy. I read 2-3 books a week usually. I just finished the paranormal/urban fantasy short story collection Strange Brew edited by P.N. Elrod. Fabulous collection of some authors I have read and a few that are now on my must-read list.

What is the best piece of advice concerning writing that you’ve ever received?
You'll never make it if you don't try.
