After five long years of looking, finding, and talking ourselves out of it, my husband and I finally bought a small cabin outside of Pagosa Springs, Co. Our backyard is national forest. The mountains are close enough to touch...perfect you might think.
WRONG!!!!!
Not that I'm complaining any, because so far, the place has been a dream come true, with the exception of our friendly neighborhood chipmunk who has decided to sharpen his teeth on the side of our house.
So, just a word of warning to all you potential Colorado vacation home buyers...never mind the bears, the elk, or the moutnain lions. Watch out for the chipmunks. They're the real threat.
